Now, before life without the grains, I had to abstain from eating the popular British favourite, fish and chips. Mainly because of the ‘chippy hangover' it gave me. A carefully sampled review - Wild Flours, Giffnock Wild Flours Giffnock From the minute I decided to create this blog, I knew the first place I had to write a review on was Wild Flours . They are a family-run gluten free bakery in the Giffnock area within Glasgow. Back when I was initially diagnosed, the main food group I grieved the loss of was cake - and having a major sweet tooth, this hit me hard. Lucky for me, my boyfriend knew this and went on the hunt for a place in which I could continue to get my sugar fix. He approached me excitedly presenting their Facebook page on his phone and suggested we give it a try. One sunny spring afternoon (can you tell I vividly remember the first good gluten free day I had?) we decided to pop in before we headed off to a Celtic Connections show (surprisingly good, not my usual cup of tea) and by god did my jaw hit the floor when we walked in.
